If you're like me and you like to eat cheap, there are a couple of night markets that are a good bet.

The best, IMHO, is the one just East of Tesco. They have a good variety of food and lots of shopping as well. One drawback - there aren't many places to sit. :D

There's another night market down Sukhimvit Rd, across from the Sony store, just before you get to Laem Tong Shopping Center. This one has plenty of tables and chairs and it usually isn't as crowded as the market by Tesco.

Did you check out Florida? If you can stand the loud music and strobe lights, it's a great place to find some pretty ladies.

If you like cheap street eats, go further east to the clock tower (next to the liquor distributorship on Sukhumvit). There is a huge restaurant complex with dozens of food stalls.

the clock tower got taken apart didn't it ?

that market beside Lotus actually started out behind Lotus & just expanded
the original market is still there between Lotus & Star Plaza. It's so packed with sellers that you can't drive out of the back side of Lotus even on a motorbike

at night time there are some FLs alongside the BKK Bank just past the spot formerly known as the clock tower
it's just before the stop light of the 3-way intersection where a right turn takes you to Bahk Nahm & by the courthouse & back entrance to Suan See Meaung Park

don't expect much though, they are rough

It's still there.

It's still known as the clock tower. Bangkok Bank is just past the clock tower, on the north side of Sukhumvit, at the intersection with Thaksin Road. I've never taken an FL from there, although I live very close by.

never taken any of the FLs there, but I have talked to them
usually by the time they get to the car window I am put off by their crackhead looks

I found out about it from a Karaoke gal who comes by the see me before work sometimes

I screwed her four times in a row the first time we got it on & she was saying that she wonder how her friend can pull 6 STs a night from the BKK Bank ATM location

some will stand around out front like they are waiting to use the ATM or waiting for someone, the others will stand back in the soi beside the bank

I went back to the night market on Sukhimvit tonight. It's actually across Suk from a place called Best 1, but you'll see the big Sony sign.

They have a couple of vendors in there who sell steak. One is a Muslim place, up front by Suk Rd. 65 baht for a decent steak (by Thai standards), little salad, and fries. Of course, like pretty much every steak I've ever had in Thailand, they drown it in some sort of sauce, but it ain't too bad.

The Muslim place is called Bang Dech. 60 baht for a beef steak with a small salad and a piece of bread.
