If you like a quiet little hole-in-the-wall kind of bar where you can drink and talk, the "Sit And Drink Bar" is a good choice. It's located on a soi between Soi Sin and Sukhimvit Rd. I don't know the name of the soi, but it's just past the big massage parlor as you head West on Soi Sin. The lady who runs the place (I think her name is Mai) is just adorable and a great hostess. They do have a couple of Ladyboys who sometimes work the bar, so if that sort of thing bothers you this might not be your kind of place. There's also a good Thai restaurant across the street that's open very late.

For us out-of-towners, could you try and find road names or numbers. Come on, you Rayongers, don't keep it to yourseves.

1. Soi Sin (Real name please)
2. Just past the big massage parlour(You have to know where that is, first.)
3. Soi number off sukhimvit would be a help.

Sounds like a good place. Nice photo. I'd like to give it a visit.

Soi Sin is Rad Bamrung Rd, though I've seen it spelled 2-3 different ways.

I don't know the soi number, but it's on the same soi as the Rayong City Hotel, and on the same side of the soi.

Hung out there again last night and had a great time. Going again tonight.

It is. It's the right turn at the traffic light past Laem Thong. You'll see Amway on your left, as you're heading east on Suk.

woollyback, don't get too excited, I seriously doubt it will be that much of an adventure

from my experience there's more action in the joint across from Sang Tong supermarket, near there

Never said it was anything to get "excited" about. Never said going there would be "an adventure". Never said there was much "action" there.

I DID say it was a quiet place to have a drink.

Welcome to the board JPJ. Not much interested in the bike, but if you want to sell one of your bass guitars, I'd by it. Just ramble on.

An update: the former Sit & Drink is now called "Snack Shack" or "Snug & Snack", or something similar. It's run by a lady named Goy and she has a few girls working with her, though they tend to be on the chubby side. Still one of the few places I've found in Rayong where they don't charge you for a girl to sit with you.

Just an update: the bar is still open and run by Goy. She's a good gal, not bad looking, and takes care of her customers, most of whom are Japanese or Koreans staying at the hotel around the corner.

She has a few girls working with her. The girls are friendly but pretty average on the looks scale. Also a couple of ladyboys who are easy to spot.

Still a nice quiet place to have a drink, but it's not the place to find a lady.
