3 Dead and 5 injured in horrific road crash.
Just before Dawn on Friday, Police Lieutenant Piashon from Sattahip Police Station along with rescue workers attended the scene of a horrific road accident on the Sukumvit Road, in front of the Somprason Village in Sattahip District. This single vehicle accident resulted in the death of three people and injuries to a further 5 people inside the car, including 3 children. The car was driven by Khun Griengai aged 35 who was bringing his family from Pijit Province in the North of Thailand to Sattahip for a Sports Day for staff of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives. It appears that the driver fell asleep at the wheel according to those who survived the crash. The Bronze Isuzu D-Max pick-up then collided with a pylon in the central reservation. The driver of the pick-up was one of those killed in the crash.
