Pattaya, October 23 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : On Wednesday we reported on the plight of Monkeys that populate Duck Island off the coast of Sattahip and we reported that efforts will now be made to make the Island a Tourist Attraction and to improve the conditions for the Monkeys on the Island. On Friday Morning we joined Captain Chachawan, the Commander of the Chumporn Navy School who has been assigned to investigate the Island and to recommend ways of transforming it into a tourist attraction. They also have plans to plant banana and coconut trees around the Island to ensure the Monkeys have a regular source of nutrition. The Captain will report back to his superiors on his findings and a budget is expected to be assigned to the project.
