Naval Officer’s lucky escape following road accident in Satahip.

Pattaya, December 11 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : On Friday Morning on the Sukumvit Road in Sattahip, Police and Rescue Services were called to a road accident resulting in injuries sustained by a Lieutenant attached to the Sattahip Navy Base. Rescue Services were quick to respond and attended to Lieutenant Wichan aged 33 who was lying underneath a Black Ford Ranger and although he had been run over, he was alive and conscious. We understand his head was only centimeters away from being crushed by the wheels. The driver of the pick-up, Lieutenant Junior Grade Pleun aged 42 remained at the scene and explained that he was travelling in the right hand lane when the victim pulled in front of him on his bike. He was unable to break in time and made contact with the bike and its driver. Police are waiting to speak with the victim to confirm the story before they proceed with the case. We understand Lieutenant Wichan is recovering well in Hospital.
