There are a few eating places in Bang Sare, but they are mostly Scandinavian.

Trondheim, not sure if spelled correctly, in a small sideroad from the main street,
just before the big bend at the end of the main street.(Norwegian)
Very mixed reviews about it though.

The food is advertised as being top-notch, but fails to deliver whatīs promised.
No girls for take-away.

Jasmine (Norwegian). Look in the drinking thread.
Food a bit dry at times, but otherwise ok.

A small one, just after the bend going on to the beach road (Talmi)(Danish)
Food is ok. Owner from Jasmine usually eats there  .
Still under a bit of constuction.

The Local in the main street (English) does the usual english stuff.
Fish and chips, pies etc.
Good for takeaway, though.

I will get back to you on the opening of the new one just outside Bang Sare later,
when I find out more about it.
Should be opening within a fortnight (with ladies and all that)
Latest Iīve heard is, that it will be an open-air restaubar with fans.

Hope this helps a little.

I will, of course, keep on scrounging around looking for new places locally.

I am interested too. Live on the Bang Sare side of Sattahip and know Jasmine etc.

Be interesting to see if it really does have "girls". Most of the bars in the area DO but not in the same sense as say Pattaya.

Hi Bryan,

Itīs not me opening the bar, but another danish guy (thai married to a local girl, that have all the connections
to the fresh ladies, waiting to start work in a bar for the first time).

Will of course, keep you all posted about when they will be opening.
Will include some sort of map, so that it will be easy to find (donīt let your GF look over your shoulder when you read it). :)

Back to restaurants :)

I went to Chez Jeromes with the wife at the weekend. At first it was great as we had the place to ourselves.

Menu limited but the food was good. Had two smoked salmon starters, I had the fillet steak and the Mrs had the dyck breast with peach. Pud was a very very nice tarte au pomme.

Really enjoyed it until the very end when a group of shirtless gits turned up with three of the skankiest women I have ever seen in Thailand. One of them even had her feet on the table - in Thailand this is bad but in a restaurant it was just horrible.

We left at this point and apart from the ending I would highly recommend it.

Bill came to 820 which included a half litre carafe of house red.

Norwegian spesial fishsoup and every Saturday SALTED HERRING with boiled potatoes, mashed sweeds, onion, red beete and souer cream. Welcome to Jasmine to try out our new menu. And remember we have ST rooms.
