Man fished out of Sattahip waters
On Thursday afternoon Sattahip police and local rescue services were called to the Samae-San boat pier to help in retrieving the body of a man from the water.
Judging by the fact rigor mortis had set it and the level of decomposition of the unidentified male, medics believe the deceased had only been floating around for about two days. Locals suggest the man is probably a fishermen and may not be of Thai nationality but possibly Burmese or Cambodian. A rope had been tied around the dead man’s torso and his face severely slashed, presumably with a knife. Police have ruled out suicide.
