Newspaper Delivery Truck involved in early morning road crash in Sattahip.
In the early hours of the morning, trucks carrying newspapers speed around the Kingdom of Thailand to ensure that the papers are delivered on time. Sometimes, because of the pressure on the drivers, they will often drive at high speed and on occasion, an accident will occur. This is one such case from the Sukumvit Road in Sattahip involving a truck operated by the Nation Group and a motorbike. Khun Somporn aged 38, the driver of the truck who was slightly injured explained that he failed to see a badly damaged motorbike and its injured driver which had been involved in another accident moments earlier. The bike and driver were on the road and the truck driver saw him at the last moment and took evasive action to avoid a collision and ended up overturned in a ditch on the side of the road. A further man responsible for delivering the newspapers, who was sitting next to the driver sustained a broken leg and was taken to Hospital along with the driver. The injured motorcyclist sustained minor injures in the first accident and was also taken to Hospital.
