There are a couple of gyms of (reasonable) quality in BC. One is situated on the same road as the famous "Strip". (Heading away from the Sukumvit, about 0.5 km on the left, from the last bar "Offshore Pub". The "Naroenchura Spa" is a decently-equipped gym, but a bit on the expensive side).
The only other gym I know of is at the Purimas Hotel on the Beach Rd. (Prayoon-Namrin stretch). Fairly basic, but reasonably-priced.

no idea how many expats, since the majority don't come out too much & many are retired
Those two gyms are the only ones I know of in town also, but Purimas isn't exactly "in town"
